Neurotoxin

Neurotoxins, also known as Botox, Dysport, and Jeuveau are injectable solutions that temporarily block nerve receptors in the muscle, preventing lines and wrinkles from forming.
Neurotoxins target underlying causes of fine lines on the face, such as, the repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting. Your medical provider will inject the muscles with the neurotoxins to essentially pause muscle activity. The temporary absence of contracting facial muscles will allow fine lines to be reduced or removed as the skin naturally renews itself over time.
Neurotoxins generally take effect in 3-5 days but it is common to not see your full and final results for 7-14 days.

The effects of all neurotoxins should last 3-4 months, sometimes longer. It takes that long for the injection to wear off and the body to regain the ability to trigger muscle movement. For this reason, it’s important to establish a neurotoxin regimen to maintain optimal results.

Dermal Filler

Dermal fillers are known as “wrinkle fillers,” though they can do much more than just smooth out wrinkles! Here are a few of the common issues dermal fillers can help address:

  • Smooth out lines around nose and mouth (a.k.a. marionette lines, smile lines, and parentheses)
  • Enhance & restore volume to sunken cheeks or temples
  • Diminish vertical lip lines
  • Plump & enhance the lips
  • Smooth out a chin crease
  • Improve symmetry among facial features

Fillers include the one of following materials: Hyaluronic acid, a sugar that is naturally found in the body. Calcium hydroxylapatite, a mineral and a major component of bone. Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biodegradable, synthetic material.

Depending on the product, filler generally lasts 6months-2 years.
